Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health (RN) to care for client employees and dependents at our Health Center in Hillsboro, OR. The shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm.

You will deliver evidence-based care, manage health programs, and coordinate return-to-work strategies. The role requires an RN license, an accredited nursing certificate/AS, and experience in occupational health; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

  • RN licensed in state of practice is required.
  • COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on site.
  • 3+ years RN experience in occupational health or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
  • Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within scope of practice.
  • Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate return-to-work.
  • Implement transitional duty programs for injured workers.
  • Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
  • Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
  • Maintain medical equipment, ensure safe environment and infection control.
  • Maintain patient health records for accurate documentation.
  • Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments on health programs and injury prevention.
  • Assist with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health (RN), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Hillsboro, OR. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)

  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
  • Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
  • Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
  • Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
