Job summary

Premise Health in Liberty, NC seeks a dependable PRN Registered Nurse (Occupational Health) to support day and night shifts in our Health Center. You will evaluate care, perform tests, and coordinate return-to-work for injured workers, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety across the site.

The role requires an RN license, OH certifications, and 3+ years in occupational health, with BSN preferred. We offer 401(k) with company match and wellness programs for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
• Certificate from Nursing School or AS required; BSN preferred.
• COHN/COHN-S or Case Management, Emergency Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required by contract.
• At least 3 years as RN in occupational health/clinic setting.
• Experience promoting healthy, safe workplaces and return-to-work exams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance for clinical operations and OSHA, DOT, CDC requirements.
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within scope of practice.
• Deliver care to injured workers and coordinate return-to-work with TPA.
• Implement transitional duty programs and monitor them.
• Perform medical tests and document results (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer meds and provide emergency care within scope.
• Maintain equipment, infection control, and patient records.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Liberty, NC. We’re looking for a dependable RNwho’s ready to jump in, support the team, and shine- both day shift & night shift needed. What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
