Premise Health Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health to care for client employees in our Health Center.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional 1–2 evening drug-screen appointments. This varied role covers 75% clinical and 25% administrative work, including phlebotomy, triage, screenings, and injury care, with on-site training in audiometry and spirometry.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or AS degree is required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice is required.
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S) or related is preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope.
• At least three years of RN experience in occupational health, ER, or ambulatory care.
• Experience promoting healthy and safe workplaces and return-to-work programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures regulatory compliance for clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations.
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within scope of practice.
• Delivers care to injured workers and coordinates return-to-work with client.
• Implements transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Performs medical tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administers medications and emergency care within scope of practice.
• Maintains equipment, cleanliness, and infection control.
• Maintains accurate health records and educates patients on health promotion.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and company departments on health programs.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The scheduled hours are Monday–Thursda: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM.

• Varied Occupational Health role with training provided — 75% clinical/25% administrative, with opportunities to use phlebotomy, triage, drug screening and injury-care skills while receiving on-site training in audiometry and spirometry.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
