Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, to care for client employees in our Health Center in Cleveland, NC. The schedule covers Saturdays and Sundays 5:00 AM–5:00 PM and Mondays 5:00 AM–2:00 PM.

You will perform clinical evaluations, administer medications, maintain records, and support injury prevention and return-to-work programs within contract scope. A BSN is preferred and COHN/COHN-S is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required
• COHN/COHN-S certification preferred
• BLS required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope
• Minimum 3 years as RN in occupational health, ER, or ambulatory care
• Experience promoting healthy, safe, productive workplaces

Responsibilities

• Provide care to client employees in the Health Center
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to OSHA, DOT, CDC
• Deliver evidence-based care and coordinate return-to-work
• Administer medications and emergency care as permitted
• Maintain health records and infection control procedures
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on health programs
• Assist with accident investigations and return-to-work programs

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Cleveland, NC.

The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday 5:00AM - 5:00PM and Mondays 5:00AM - 2:00PM

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow‑up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return‑to‑work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four‑year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
