Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health in Myrtle Beach, SC. You’ll provide care to client employees in our Health Center, with a Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM schedule.

The role blends 75% clinical work with 25% administrative duties and includes training in audiometry and spirometry. You’ll join a small, close-knit team with a predictable weekday schedule and no weekend work, plus opportunities in phlebotomy, triage, and injury

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree; BSN preferred.
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope.
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic or similar setting.
• Experience promoting healthy, safe, productive workplaces and coordinating health programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice.
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinates case management with the TPA and client.
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintains equipment and infection control, keeps patient health records up-to-date.
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and company departments on health programs and injury prevention.
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care toclient employees in our Health Center located in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The scheduled hours are Monday–Thursda y: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Predictable weekday schedule & no weekends—with only occasional flexibility for 1–2 evening drug-screen appointments per month.
• Varied Occupational Health role with training provided — 75% clinical/25% administrative, with opportunities to use phlebotomy, triage, drug screening and injury-care skills while receiving on-site training in audiometry and spirometry.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
