Job summary

Premise Health in Liberty, NC is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, to provide care for client employees at our Health Center. Two full-time night shift opportunities are available: Sunday–Tuesday, 6 PM–6 AM, and Thursday–Saturday, 6 PM–6 AM.

You will perform clinical evaluations, administer care, coordinate return-to-work with the TPA and client, and educate patients to support healthier workplaces. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or AS degree; BSN preferred.
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience as RN in occupational health/ambulatory care.
• Current BLS; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC).
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within scope of practice.
• Deliver care to injured workers and coordinate return-to-work with TPA and client.
• Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Perform and document EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision tests; coordinate tests as defined.
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope.
• Maintain equipment, environment, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient health records and educate patients on health promotion.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and company departments on health programs and injury prevention.
• Assist with accident investigations and workplace safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Liberty, NC. We currently have two full-time night shift opportunities available:

Position 1: Sunday-Tuesday, 6 PM-6 AM (36 hours/week)
Position 2: Thursday-Saturday, 6 PM-6 AM (36 hours/week)

What You'll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
