Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Clinic in Pensacola, FL is seeking a registered nurse to fill a day shift, full-time role. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care and execute physician orders while coordinating patient care plans and ensuring safe transitions.

The ideal candidate holds Florida RN licensure, a nursing diploma, and BLS certification, with a preference for experience in Medical Clinic settings and Women\'s Health, L&D, or Pediatrics.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (AHA/Red Cross accepted).
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group preferred.
• Experience in Women\'s Health, L&D or Pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients, upholding professional standards.
• Efficiently carry out physician and nursing orders, implement and evaluate personalized patient care plans, ensuring coordinated support.
• Monitor patient progress, document findings, and communicate critical updates to the multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as the primary coordinator, integrating care across disciplines for the best outcomes.
• Advocate for patients by assessing discharge needs and ensuring smooth transitions of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed required as a Registered Nurse in state of work location. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date..
• One or more of the following:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• At least one year of experience working in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group
• One or more years of experience working in a Women's Health, L&D or Pediatrics
