Job summary

Essentia Health Moose Lake Hospital in Moose Lake, MN seeks an obstetric/birth-focused RN to provide patient care in the OB unit and occasionally assist med/surg patients. The role emphasizes compassionate, family-centered care and adherence to regulatory standards.

The position offers 0.6 FTE with Day/Night rotation, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, and potential hiring incentives of up to $7,500 ADN or $10,000 BSN. Moose Lake provides a rural lifestyle with strong community values.

Qualifications

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• TCAR or TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• PALS certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Fetal monitoring course within 6 months.
• AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring within 1 year.
• NRP certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and job descriptions.
• Contribute to Essentia Health's mission and comply with regulatory/accrediting requirements.
• Be flexible with 12-hour shifts and occasional weekend coverage in OB and med/surg as needed.

Education and Experience Qualifications

Responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.

Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 48 hours per pay period
• Every Third Weekend Rotating 12 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM
• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM

This position will be in the OB unit but will need to pick up patients in med/surg if needed.

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN).

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year from the date of hire only required to obtain once.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire
• Basic Fetal Monitoring course within 6 months
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course through AWHONN within 1 year.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year
