Essentia Health is seeking a licensed RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Birthplace/L&D unit. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with at least 6 months RN experience in postpartum, antepartum, labor and delivery, or equivalent, and relevant certifications (BCLS/NRP/PALS).
The position supports perinatal transport duties and a 0.75 FTE schedule with day/night rotations.
Building B - St Marys Medical Center Department: 2003290 NURSING - BIRTHPLACE - SMMC HOSP
Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responsible for the coordination of lactation education and support within the nursing division. NICU RN's in Fargo, ND and Duluth, MN are required to perform transport via helicopter and Ambulance.
BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to: ADN: $7,500 BSN: $10,000
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 6 months RN experience per above definition which includes: postpartum/couplet care; ante partum; labor and delivery with a greater than 1,200 deliveries per year OR Over 1248 hours of experience working within a Labor and Delivery/Post partum unit as a Nurse tech/CNA/or other equivocal role as it pertains to childbearing women.
