Job summary

Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN, invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join the 16-MED SURG General Medical Unit. The role involves leading patient care from assessment through evaluation, with a focus on teamwork and regulatory compliance.

The RN will work 0.7 FTE with eight-hour shifts on a day/night rotation, every other weekend, supporting mission-driven care in a Level I Trauma Center setting near Lake Superior.

Qualifications

• Responsible for organizing and providing patient care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Lead and delegate nursing tasks to team members based on licensure and preparation.
• Contribute to meeting facility mission and regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, etc.).

We are also a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 24-hour emergency care and critical care. Education Qualifications

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

What you'll get to do in this role

You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live. You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Schedule

0.7 FTE 8 Hour Shifts Day/Night Rotation Every other weekend

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

Current nursing licensure in Minnesota Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to: ADN: $7,500 BSN: $10,000
