Essentia Health's St Marys Medical Center in Minnesota is seeking an RN to join the 0.75 FTE Float Pool in the MAT CH - SMMC HOSP department. The role provides nursing care across Birthplace, Pediatrics, and NICU with day/night rotations and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include delivering holistic care, autonomous clinical decision-making, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing care plan evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota is required.
• BCLS certification within one month of hire is required.
• NRP certification within one year of hire is required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience and strong communication skills.

Job Description: Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responsible for the coordination of lactation education and support within the nursing division.

Education Qualifications: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to: ADN: $7,500 BSN: $10,000

What You'll Do in This Role

• Deliver Comprehensive Care: Provide nursing care that is holistic, compassionate, and centered on the individual needs of each patient.
• Exercise Professional Autonomy: Take responsibility for your nursing practice by making informed decisions and promoting health, recognizing that quality care is a universal right.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team to assess concerns, identify issues, and integrate both subjective and objective data.
• Implement and Evaluate Care Plans: Develop tailored care plans, apply appropriate interventions, and continuously evaluate patient outcomes to enhance overall care quality.

This position will work the following:

• 0.75 FTE
• 12 Hour Shifts
• Day/Night Rotation
• Every third weekend
• You will float to Birthplace, Pediatrics, and NICU
• $2.00 per hour upon hire into a float pool position

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently employed as an RN with a minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience

Compensation Range: $45.03 - $68.87
