Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking an RN for a 46-bed Neuro Stepdown unit. This full-time role involves 3x12 hour day shifts with rotating weekends, delivering high-acuity nursing care and acting as a clinical liaison for complex medical plans.

You’ll collaborate with ER and ICU teams, manage trauma-related diagnoses, and support rapid response initiatives in a caring, mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Nurse license in Indiana required prior to hire.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• You will be working in a high-acuity, 46 bed unit where the patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3-4
• Patients come from the ER or are transferred from the Trauma Neuro ICU and MICU.
• Wide range of diagnoses; Trauma Injuries, Craniotomy, Laminectomy, Discectomy
• Act as the Clinical Liaison by translating complex medical plans into clear, compassionate language
• Engage in effective team collaboration, including rapid response and initiative participation.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
