Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking a Cardiothoracic Stepdown RN to join a 48-bed progressive care unit in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide specialized nursing care for complex cardiovascular surgical patients, including transplant, CABG, and VAD recipients, and manage post-op care for vascular and renal transplant patients.

Responsibilities include monitoring thoracic surgery patients (VATS/robotics) and maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 with PCA support.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Indiana RN license required before hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or current licensure at hire time.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Previous In-patient Experience Preferred
