Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift at Columbia St. Marys Milwaukee. You will implement care plans, coordinate multiple disciplines, and ensure orders are carried out.

You’ll assist with discharge planning and communicate patient status to the care team. LoB responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions and ensuring high-quality care across nursing and support staff.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• RN license issued by Wisconsin Board of Nursing or compact-state license.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
