Job summary

Ascension's Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a PRN Day Shift Registered Nurse in Observation to implement and coordinate patient care plans. You will monitor patient conditions and serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care.

Required are a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent licensure, and RN licensure by the Texas Board of Nursing, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed by the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required or equivalent professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; observes and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator across disciplines for coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
