Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Med Surg department at Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock, TX. This full-time role involves coordinating patient care, implementing care plans, and ensuring smooth interdisciplinary collaboration.

The position requires Texas RN licensure, BLS certification, and a minimum of one year RN experience. Eligible for comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, PTO, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Diploma in Nursing or BSN with RN license; enrollment in an accelerated program acceptable.
• One year of RN experience preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.


• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.


• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.


• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  
  
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  
  
  
  

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
