Job summary

ScionHealth’s Kindred Hospital Chicago — Northlake seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop care plans, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff, and participate in discharge planning.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to policies, and effective communication with patients and families. Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS as applicable are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Ability to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities under stress.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing standards and implement hospital policies.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff qualifications.
• Document patient assessments, plans and care in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing supervisor and staff regarding patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdepartmental communication.
• Provide end-of-shift reports and ensure accurate documentation.
