Job summary

Kindred Hospital Aurora seeks a Registered Nurse to plan and deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will develop care plans, coordinate with the care team, and communicate patient changes to physicians and nurses.

In this role you will also participate in discharge planning and ensure safe medication administration. The position requires nursing licensure, postsecondary nursing education, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Basic computer literacy for electronic health records and documentation.
• Ability to organize tasks, set priorities and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Fluent English required. Must read, write and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate nursing care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Participate in discharge planning and transition of care.
• Administer medications following the five rights and document accurately.
