Job summary

ScionHealth's Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake seeks a Nursing Assistant to assist professional nursing staff in patient care and activities of daily living in a long-term care setting.

You will perform routine tasks under RN direction, document vitals, prepare rooms, assist with admissions/discharges, and respond to calls. Requires CNA and BLS, HS diploma, and 6 months LTC/acute care experience with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred education to perform essential functions.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification.
• Minimum six months of experience in acute or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in patient care in assigned area.
• Perform activities of daily living and basic clinical skills under RN direction.
• Take and record vitals and document timely; prepare rooms and equipment.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges; respond to calls promptly.
• Support feeding, personal care, and comfort measures; monitor patient needs.
