Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care in a 45-bed long-term acute care setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians, families and multidisciplinary staff.

The role includes discharge planning, patient education, and ensuring safety, documentation, and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary nursing certificate or diploma from an accredited school.
• Registered Nurse license (state licensure or compact) required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• ACLS preferred.
• Six months medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate nursing care plans with patient and family.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and staff.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration.
