Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit. The role provides direct patient care under the Nurse Manager/Director and supports high-acuity, high-volume obstetric care. You will manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS required upon hire.
• Minimum two (2) years L&D experience, high risk OB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
• Deliver care for adolescent and adult patients in L&D and associated units as needed.
• Support rapid childbirth, high-acuity obstetric interventions, and emergency responses.

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 50 years.
• Our fast-paced, high-acuity, and high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit is a specialized, critical care environment. Manage complex pregnancies, rapid childbirth, and emergency interventions simultaneously. Environment defined by intensity, constant activity, and the need for quick, precise, and possible life-saving decisions.
• Days Position 3 12-HR shifts a week, 7AM – 7PM

What qualifications you will need:

• NRP must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BLS upon hire
• Minimum two (2) years L&D experience, high risk OB experience preferred
