Job summary

Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a part-time Night Shift RN to join Labor and Delivery. You will provide direct nursing care to high-risk labor and delivery patients, implement individualized care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support discharge planning.

The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois RN license, BLS certification, and a Diploma from an accredited school of nursing; one year of labor and delivery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk labor and delivery patients following established protocols and guidelines.
• Implement and monitor individualized care plans for laboring patients, recording and communicating changes in condition.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for all healthcare disciplines involved in high-risk deliveries.
• Execute physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required. .
  

Additional Preference

• 1 year RN labor ad delivery experience.
