Ascension is hiring to provide direct nursing care in a major healthcare setting in Austin. You will follow established policies and coordinate with the care team to ensure comprehensive patient care and smooth discharge planning.

The role requires an RN license, BLS within 1 month of hire, and preference for ALS and neonatal resuscitation credentials. This on-site position supports Ascension's mission and patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required prior to hire date.
• BLS obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ALS preferred; NRP/AAP certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders and monitor patient status.
• Assist with discharge planning in collaboration with the health team.

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum 1 year Labor and Delivery experience
