Job summary

Ascension's All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery Unit. You will provide compassionate, direct patient care within established best practices and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes timely execution of orders, cross-disciplinary coordination, and proactive discharge planning to ensure safe transitions home. Licensure in Wisconsin and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire, AED/Cardiac/CPR required.
• RN credential issued by Wisconsin Board of Nursing or multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in Labor and Delivery per protocols.
• Execute physician and nursing orders promptly to support treatment plans.
• Coordinate patient services across clinical disciplines as liaison for integrated care.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the care team.
• Assist with comprehensive discharge planning for safe home transition.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality direct patient care that strictly adheres to established, patient-first best practices and protocols.
• Manage the patient's comprehensive care journey, meticulously executing physician and nursing orders promptly to ensure the timely advancement of treatment plans.
• Coordinate patient services across all clinical disciplines, acting as the primary liaison to guarantee seamless and well-integrated care for optimal outcomes.
• Document and continually assess the patient care journey, meticulously recording progress and communicating critical status updates to the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning by proactively assessing patient needs and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, smooth, and successful transition home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
