Job summary

Ascension is seeking an IMC Registered Nurse for the Burnet, TX area. The role is part-time with day shifts at Ascension Seton Highland Lakes, delivering intermediate care with a focus on safety and policy adherence.

You will provide expert nursing care, monitor patients closely, coordinate across disciplines, and lead discharge planning to ensure safe transitions for high-risk patients. A Texas RN license and BLS are required, with a nursing diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school.

• High-Acuity Care Delivery: Provides expert direct nursing care for intermediate-level patients, strictly adhering to complex clinical policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Vigilant Patient Monitoring: Implements individualized care plans while meticulously tracking and communicating physiological changes to ensure timely medical interventions.
• Interdisciplinary Leadership: Acts as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to ensure seamless, well-synchronized patient care and treatment execution.
• Strategic Care Coordination: Precisely executes physician orders and leads comprehensive discharge planning to ensure a safe transition for high-risk patients.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
