Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical Intermediate Care unit on day shift, full-time. You will deliver direct patient care using evidence-based protocols, monitor clinical status, and maintain precise documentation in the electronic health record to support timely decisions.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse, following clinical protocols to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and overall patient experiences.
• Monitor patient conditions, maintain accurate clinical documentation in EHR systems, and communicate updates to support timely patient care decisions.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination, efficient treatment plans, and positive patient outcomes.
• Assess discharge planning needs and perform nursing interventions in compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

Required Credential(s):

• Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
