Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in Cardiac Services ICU. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and ensure smooth discharge planning.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Prefer at least 1-2 yrs previous ICU experience in a high acuity hospital.
