Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled cardiovascular clinical expert to guide bedside nurses in managing cardiac and vascular patients during full-time night shifts.

You will interpret cardiac rhythms, monitor hemodynamics, and support evidence-based interventions for high-acuity situations, including chest pain, arrhythmias, and post-catheterization care, while collaborating with the CV OR team to ensure safe, effective patient care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Indiana required.
• ACLS or BLS within specified timeframe after hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program required.

Responsibilities

• Guide bedside nurses in cardiovascular care for cardiac/vascular patients.
• Assist with high-acuity events such as chest pain, arrhythmias, post-catheterization care, and codes.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, monitor hemodynamics, and oversee CV medication administration.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
