Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a qualified RN for the ICU at Ascension Seton Cedar Park Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX. The RN will deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity environment, following protocols to ensure safe outcomes and coordinate with the care team.

Must hold Texas RN licensure and ALS/BLS certifications with a night-shift, full-time schedule (36 hours) across 3 x 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or equivalent licensure required.
• Current RN licensure in Texas before start date.
• ALS and BLS certifications obtained by specified deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as an RN following established protocols for safe outcomes.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting interventions to support recovery.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes to the interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately with compliant documentation in the EHR/EMR.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN), following established clinical protocols to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.


• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting interventions to support recovery and clinical goals.


• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes to the interdisciplinary team for coordinated, patient-centered care.


• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining compliant and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR).


• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):


• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
