Ascension is seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our night shift team in Baltimore, MD. This full-time role requires delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care while adhering to safety and hospital standards.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and opportunities for professional development within a supportive, mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month of hire date or transfer date; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• RN credentialed by the Maryland Board of Nursing prior to hire date or transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care with safety and excellence in mind.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, seamless patient care and outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real time; maintain proactive communication and precise documentation.
• Advocate for patient journeys by initiating and managing discharge planning from hospital to home.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every action aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational excellence.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists to ensure patient care is seamless, holistic, and focused on the best possible clinical outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time, acting as the vital link between the patient and the medical team through proactive communication and precise documentation.
• Advocate for the patient’s journey by initiating and managing comprehensive discharge plans, ensuring a safe and successful transition from hospital to home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
• transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience required.
