Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC in New Jersey seeks a Nursing Supervisor (RN or LPN) to lead licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in daily resident care.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, participate in admissions/transfers, and coordinate medication administration and wound care. The role emphasizes care planning, collaboration, and infection control in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in accordance with policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.
• Promote holistic care for residents.
• Participate in admissions, discharge and transfers of residents.
• Assess changes in residents' status and notify physician and family; document accordingly.
• Transcribe physician orders and administer medications per orders.
• Provide nursing leadership and direct care as needed (colostomy, wound care, IVs, etc.).
• Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties are performed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs.
• Participate in management meetings and QAPI activities as needed.
• Ensure infection control principles are followed and deficiencies corrected.
