Job summary

Aperion Care in Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care in compliance with regulations. You will plan and oversee daily activities, administer medications, complete documentation, and maintain patient confidentiality.

The RN will coordinate with physicians, ensure safety, and foster a warm, collaborative environment. CPR/First Aid and an active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• RN with current unencumbered state license.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and reg­ulations.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise nursing assistants to ensure quality care.
• Administer medications as ordered and document accurately.
• Coordinate with physicians and other staff to meet resident needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
• Communicate with residents, families and team to plan daily care.
• Perform tasks like wound care, catheterization, IV care as applicable.
