Aperion Care in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The RN will plan and oversee daily nursing activities, administer medications, complete required documentation, and maintain patient confidentiality while coordinating with physicians and families to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unencumbered RN license.
• Experience in long term care is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to priorities.

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to assigned duties.
• Provide care based on care plans and physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel.
• Receive and give nursing report during shift changes.
• Assist in activities of daily living and meals.
• Communicate with clinical leadership when needs change.
• Care for residents with dementia.
• Take on other duties within scope of your knowledge and experience.
