Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing daily nursing activities, administering medications, completing required documentation, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• The RN also performs professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care, while fostering a warm and collaborative environment.
• Additionally, the role involves coordinating with physicians, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff to meet residents' needs.
