Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in Carmel, IN. This PRN role requires strong patient-care coordination and collaboration with the health team to execute orders and monitor patient conditions.

Focused on continuous improvement and compassionate care, you will support ED operations and patient flow while ensuring adherence to certifications and licensure requirements in Indiana.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credential from Indiana Board of Nursing before hire date or eligible via Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans for ED patients.
• Coordinate disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient care with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
