Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ER team at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, FL. This full-time role requires a Florida RN license, 1 year ER experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a passion for compassionate, high-quality patient care.

You'll provide urgent care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in continuous training, with opportunities for growth within BayCare's network of hospitals and services.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing required (or higher).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients in the ER using nursing processes and standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.
• Maintains and updates plan of care with patients, families, and team.

• Location: Mease Countryside Hospital 3231 N. McMullen Booth Rd, Safety Harbor, FL
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 2:45 PM -3:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
