Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room in Plant City, FL. This part-time role involves evening shifts and every other weekend, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER setting.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license and nursing degree with ER experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a focus on compassionate, evidence-based care. On-site work with opportunities for mentorship and career growth.

Qualifications

• RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing
• 1 year ER nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER setting
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and vital signs
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to manage emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions
• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate actions

• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1 year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

TheRegistered Nurse -responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
