Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. The role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate care.

Requirements include an RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of ER experience. Evening and weekend shifts may apply with on-call responsibilities omitted.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1 year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
