Job summary

BayCare's Bartow Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the ER team, working 6:45 PM–7:15 AM with every-other-weekend shifts. The role is in person and requires an active RN license and ER experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with the care team, and participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 1 year ER experience
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as required

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of ER patients using the nursing process
• Delegate appropriate tasks to the health care team
• Organize and update care plans with patient and family
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies
• Maintain professional accountability and development

• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1 year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
