Job summary

BayCare’s Bartow Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the ER team on the 6:45 PM–7:15 AM shift. This full-time role requires in-person work at Bartow, with every-other-weekend coverage and no on-call duties.

You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care using the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, monitor vitals, and respond to emergencies while pursuing ongoing training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma/Associate's/Bachelor or higher in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year ER RN experience.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• ACLS certification from AHA.
• PALS certification from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1 year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association
