Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking an experienced ED travel nurse for a busy Emergency Department in Columbus, OH. You will deliver high-quality patient care, assess urgent medical needs, and work within a skilled team to stabilize and treat diverse cases.

The assignment requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and adherence to hospital protocols. The role emphasizes a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, travel nursing credentials, and proficiency with EPIC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working in the Emergency Department.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ED patient care and monitoring.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) accurately.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years working in the Emergency Department

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Essential Skills

• Competence in IV starts
• Experience with telemetry monitoring

One nurse assigned to four patients

Time Off Requests

Time off requests must be submitted when applying. Up to 7 consecutive days off may be approved at the facility’s discretion for a 14-week contract.
