Job summary

SoftPath Medical in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Cardiac ICU nurse for a 36-hour week on the night shift. The role requires BLS/ACLS, EPIC EHR proficiency, and willingness to float within units of equal or lower acuity. Travel nursing background is a plus.

Expect 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios, weekend rotations, and a focus on advanced cardiac care including ventilator and hemodynamic management. Parking and campus resources are available for staff.

Work Schedule

Work occurs on weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays.

Staff are required to float within units of equal or lower acuity levels.

The position involves 36 hours per week on the night shift.

Up to 6 weekend shifts may be scheduled within a 4-week period:

• Saturday/Sunday for day shifts
• Friday/Saturday for night shifts

Patient Care

Patient ratios typically range from 1:1 to 1:2.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in a Cardiac ICU.

Required certifications are BLS and ACLS.

Essential skills include:

• IV insertion
• Telemetry monitoring
• Ventilator management
• Swan-Ganz catheter care
• Conscious sedation
• Balloon pump operation
• Pulmonary artery line management

Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory.

Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
