Job summary

Ascension St Vincent Plainfield Micro Hospital in Plainfield, IN seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on high-quality patient care, coordination across disciplines, and timely execution of orders within a fast-paced ED setting.

Minimum requirements include RN licensure, a nursing diploma, and at least 3 years of ED experience with current BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred.

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; monitors, records and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• Required 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience. With current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
