Job summary

Ascension St Vincent Plainfield Micro Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on coordinating patient care, implementing care plans, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely, safe discharge planning.

Required RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timelines, with at least 3 years of ED experience; a nursing diploma is required. Preferred Pediatric Life Support.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• RN license required by hire date.
• BLS Provider certification.
• ACLS and PALS within specified timelines; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• - Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• - Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• - Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• - Required Credential(s): Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• - One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• - Preferred Credential(s): Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• - Required 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience. With current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
