Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a compassionate registered nurse for the Emergency Department at Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, develop individualized care plans, and promote patient safety and comfort.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care, monitor progress, and advocate for timely decisions. You will guide discharge planning to support safe transitions home or to the next level of care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 1 month of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year ED experience preferred.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

• 1 year of ED experience preferred.
