Job summary

Ascension in Destin, FL, is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to join the Employee Education department. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on advancing nursing education and competency-based programming across the continuum of care.

You will partner with clinical leaders to identify learning gaps, design and evaluate NPD programs using data-driven methods, and ensure staff practice aligns with licensure requirements while maintaining quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida prior to hire
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• Diploma from accredited nursing program
• MSN preferred

• Manage and oversee competency standards for inter-professional programs, ensuring all clinical staff practice at the highest extent of their licensure while maintaining organizational compliance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience

• Required professional licensure at time of hire.
