Job summary

Ascension is seeking a qualified Emergency Department RN to deliver high-quality care in our freestanding ED in Panama City Beach, FL. You’ll assess, treat, and coordinate care for patients with acute and urgent conditions, collaborating with physicians, EMS and support teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

Active Florida RN license is required, ACLS within 6 months, BLS within 1 month, and a nursing diploma.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care by assessing, implementing, and coordinating individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and urgent conditions.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition promptly to support timely interventions and ensure safe, effective care.
• Coordinate care across physicians, EMS, specialists, and support teams to promote efficient patient flow and seamless transitions throughout the emergency visit.
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery, reinforce follow‑up care, and reduce unnecessary return visits.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi‑state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
