Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Manager in the Surgery department at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL. This full-time daytime role involves supervising OR staff, coordinating workflows, and ensuring exemplary patient care during shifts.

Qualified candidates will hold Florida RN licensure, OSS/BLS/ACLS as required, and have at least 1 year of OR-related experience; CNOR is a plus. Ascension offers robust benefits and professional development opportunities.

How you'll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• Supervise unit staffing, coordinate shift workflows, and ensure the consistent implementation of clinical objectives and high-quality OR patient care.
• Assign, direct, monitor, and educate nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, while actively contributing to hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assess daily patient needs to develop and distribute population-appropriate care assignments while identifying and resolving any issues affecting patient outcomes.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of patient care interventions and address clinical or service complaints through established organizational channels.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One Or More Of The Following

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• RN with at least 5 years of OR Experience, Certification (CNOR) encouraged
