Job summary

Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role covers direct patient care on day shifts (36 hours weekly) across 3 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

You will implement and monitor care plans, document in EHR/EMR, and coordinate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes and a positive patient experience. Requires TX RN licensure and ACLS/BLS/PALS per policy.

Qualifications

• Diploma or nursing licensure required.
• ALS (Advanced Life Support) within 6 months; BLS within 1 month; Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• 3 years ED experience preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring high-quality outcomes while following clinical protocols, safety standards, and patient-centered care practices.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, assessing patient conditions and adjusting interventions to support recovery, continuity of care, and overall patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication, seamless care coordination, and improved patient experience throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Document and communicate patient status using Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR), maintaining accurate clinical documentation and supporting compliance, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
