Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with at least 1 year of correctional-inpatient experience, preferably with juvenile clients in a locked forensic setting. The role requires frequent interactions with law enforcement and a willingness to work in a demanding environment in Malibu, CA.

Shift options include 8-hour shifts with 2 evening positions and 1 night shift, 16-week contract, under an Alternative Workweek schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license is required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• MAB or CPI certification required.
• LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a locked forensic environment with frequent interaction with law enforcement.
• Support juvenile inmates with mood, anxiety, and behavioral conditions as part of inpatient care.

Job description

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need of highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) with a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Correctional Registered Nurse in-patient experience, preferably with a background in working with juvenile patients who are incarcerated struggling with mood, anxiety, and other behavioral conditions in a variety of settings. Individuals should be comfortable working in a locked forensic environment with frequent interactions with law enforcement.

Pay Rate: $50/hr

Location: Malibu, CA

Shift: 8 hour shifts | 3 evening shift openings (2:00P-10:00P) & 1 night/overnight shift openings (6:00P-2P) | 16 week contract | * This position follows an Alternative Workweek schedule. Under this arrangement, daily overtime is applicable only after 12 hours worked in a day.

Requirements:

• Required certifications include active Registered Nurse license
• AHA BLS
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City)
• Basic Life: $25,000 (100% employer paid)
• Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) : $25,000 (100% employer paid)
• Voluntary Life/AD&D: Additional coverage options available for employees, spouses and children (100% employee paid)
